POSTO GIUSTO PER
2020
In July 2020, the
"Posto Giusto Per" project emerged as a collaborative effort between Graphic Days®
Design Lab and a group of students from Politecnico di Torino. My role in this initiative
centred on guiding the artistic direction, primarily contributing to concept
development, communication strategy, and overseeing on-site implementation.
"Posto Giusto Per," translating to "The Right Place To" in Italian, represents an urban revitalisation initiative undertaken under the commission of the Municipality of Settimo Torinese, a town within the Turin province. This public intervention was part of the recent expansion of the city's pedestrian zones, presenting a unique opportunity to explore tactical urbanism.
The essence of the project can be distilled into three simple words: "Posto Giusto Per," an open invitation to experience the place in the best possible way. Our team's core objective was to inspire the citizens of Settimo to reassess the significance of their town. After all, those who reside within a city are often the best equipped to understand its challenges and potential. Consequently, we prioritised the active involvement of local residents, positioning them as co-designers shaping the future of Settimo Torinese.
