BIO

I’m an Italian-based freelance social designer and cultural manager focused on building connections and advocating for the transformative potential of creative disciplines in promoting systemic change. My practice and research interests include citizens’ involvement in democratic processes, intercultural and civic education, and cultural public policies.

After graduating in Communication Design from the Polytechnic University of Milan, I worked as a Creative Project Manager for a leading Italian independent festival on visual design. Recently, I concluded my Master's program in Eco-Social Design at the Free University of Bolzano-Bozen, which guided me to a more conscious and responsible practice. In November 2024, I will start a PhD in (Re)Designing Democracy at UHasselt (Belgium).

MECCHEGNO

2018

Group project for the Final Synthesis Laboratory at Politecnico di Milano.
Team: Federico Del Vecchio, Martina Galofaro, Kseniia Obukhova, Lucia Zago.
Professors: Valeria Luisa Bucchetti, Umberto Tolino, Pamela Visconti.
a.y. 2017-2018
The "Mecchegno" project is an innovative modular furniture system crafted by the skilled artisans at "Xiloidea" carpentry, located in the province of Varese.

Our team took the existing product lines and expanded upon them, focusing on designing the visual elements for these imaginative pieces of furniture. Our aim was to encourage children's creative engagement.

The "Mecchegno" project was divided into three distinct product lines: Discover,Create, and Furnish, each tailored to a specific age group. We executed a comprehensive project, starting from the dynamic logo creation and defining a harmonious colour palette. This extended to packaging design, the development of a user-friendly website, and the formulation of a strategic approach for social media communication.

It was important that all three product lines remained faithful to the unique identity of "Mecchegno." Simultaneously, we ensured they conveyed a clear and easily recognisable message aligned with the overarching Family brand.
