BIO

I’m an interdisciplinary researcher and practitioner working at the intersection of participatory design and more-than-human governance. I’m currently pursuing a PhD at Hasselt University in Belgium, where my research investigates new approaches to ecological democracy through the lens of critical design studies and environmental humanities.

With a background in visual and eco-social design, I’ve mostly worked on sociocultural projects: applying design research to questions of identity and language politics in border regions, co-creating participatory strategies for cultural initiatives, and facilitating public engagement in the reimagination of commons. In parallel, I maintain a strong ongoing interest in the roles of diasporas in academia and beyond.

Graphic Days® is a cultural project focused on visual design. Each year, it brings together creative artists and professional designers from around the world for a widespread festival in Turin, Italy. The goal of this project is to share the cultural and social importance of creative fields by introducing exciting new tools and encouraging discussions, exhibitions, workshops, and more.

I joined the GD® team in late 2018 and worked on four festival editions over three years, which did not stop even during the Covid-19 pandemic. Our team developed a plurennial project strategy and worked intensively to make it a central part of the local creative community for visual design by promoting all-year-round activities.

During the festival, my main roles included managing content, curating panels, and building connections with international professionals, studios and cultural organisations, some of which included General Consulate of the Netherlands in Milan, General Consulate of Romania in Turin, Municipality of Settimo Torinese, Goethe Institut Turin, ITCILO, AIAP, Ukrainian Institute, Romanian Design Week, Graphic Matters, Pentagram London, Fabrica Research Center, Centre National du Graphisme, Eye Magazine and Google Creative Lab London. My contribution helped GD® grow and gain recognition in the field of visual design.
